It’s hard to believe that it’s the end of Kindergarten. Your little ones are getting big quickly! It’s been a great year, and I will miss them this summer. Here are some highlights for the week:
- The children did great and had fun this morning, but 2 of them got sick after lunch. I hope no one else gets sick tonight.
- We had a special treat today. The Cat in the Hat came and read to the Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders. He was a great reader, but he needs to practice his math. Ask your child about it. (Eleventeen is not a number!)
- We’re going to finish up the Christlight books this week. Our lessons are “God Brings His People Home” and “Job.”
- We’ll finish the year with Letterbook Z. We probably won’t finish every page, but that’s fine. The children are doing a great job reading. They can pick a reading prize all the way through Friday, so keep reading this week! I have plenty of prizes left.
- Our last 2 “star words” are play and may. I will send home a list of all we’ve had so they can keep practicing them this summer.
- If you still have library books at home, send them back. They did not bring new ones home last Friday.
- Please note that the kindergarteners will receive a card/diploma at graduation on Thursday evening. The whole school also sings for the 6:30 service. We’ll sit together for the service.
- Friday is the last day picnic. Remember that we stay all day again.
- We’ll pack up some of our things on Thursday and some of them on Friday, so please send a backpack both days.
- Make sure to send a car seat on Friday to go to the picnic.
- Report card will be in your church boxes on Sunday for members. We’ll mail them to everyone else.
God bless your summer!
